Day Oneeeee :)

Today I am began my 30 days of shredding in an attempt to get my pre-T body back. If I am successful at this I will be enlisting the help of a doctor to get my pre-J body back :)

So here's the plan. I am going to do the 30 day shred everyday during Tarynn's nap, and continue my efforts at the gym and excersising outside weather permitting. I go to Cal Fit a few times a week and do spin, group strength training, cardio machines, or weights.

I am not really going to go on a diet. I cook pretty healthy as it is. I am just going to try to eat crap in moderation and calm down on the Reese's and Rockstars. I have been consistently eating 800 calories a day in Reese's. Horrible, I know.

So today....

I did shred (level 1 with 5lb weights, had to put weights down during last shoulder excersise) during T's nap and did spin at the gym.

I didn't have any peanut butter cups or Rockstars, but I did eat a handful of peanut M&Ms, a taco from the drive-thru mexican place, and made pot pie for dinner.

Starting weight 132 lbs 22.2% body fat.

Wish list Wed

A fellow blogger nbjenni does wish list Wednsdays on her blog. I decided to join in on the fun.

I will keep it simple for the first one. I would really like my own personal sun to follow me around all day. I hate being cold and wish it was summer year round. I would also like it to not get dark until around 8:30 p.m. I don't think that's too much to ask right?

I would also like a driver. I'm tired of driving back and forth to Hollister and it would be wonderful to enjoy a cocktail and not worry about transportation.

Reusable coffee sleeves

Another craft that combines a few of my favorite things-being green, coffee, and handmade. I found a few tutorials on how to make these reusable coffee sleeves...

Here are the instructions on how to make this fabric sleeve from Imagine Fabric.

Here's another tutorial from thriftyfun.com

Green, coffee, handmade, and breast cancer awarness-what could be better? Here is the pattern.

This is such an inexpensive and cute gift idea. You can personalize it based on the recipient.

So here's the problem-I don't sew or crochet. My mom does though and I think I will be asking her to make me one. I'm thinking I want a crocheted one with a flower on it. Maybe I'll have her make me a few different styles.

And last but not least-In case you are like me and can't crochet or sew and don't have a mamma who can here are some available to purchase...

Handmade Shopping Cart/High Chair Cover

There are so many reasons I love this handmade shopping cart cover made by Tinder Designs. It brings together my love of zebra/pink, handmade, and speaks to the germaphobe in me. So cute. I wanted to get this for Tarynn so badly, but had already purchased her one at Walmart and couldn't justify having two :( I'm still trying to think of a way to get it. Maybe hand down her current one to her grandparents?

March is national craft month

In honor of national craft month I will be sharing some of my favorite crafters with you this month. I will also share some easy crafts you can do yourself.

Love this

I went to the Art n'craftacular in Loomis on Sunday and met Pam of Warm Hugs Designs. She didn't have a booth, but approached my friend Liz and I while we were sitting outside letting the little ones play. She makes dresses from upcycled vintage pillow cases. I cannot say how much I love love love this idea. I love vintage, I love repurposing, and I love sundresses. Ahhh perfection. I checked out her etsy and her blog and there are some really adorable items.

Here you go little monkey

Tarynn is a little monkey and loves to climb on everything. In an effort to cut down on the amount of time she spends climbing on my mom's cat tree I decided to get her a jungle gym of some sort. As always in an effort to be green I started my search on craigslist. For the first couple weeks all I was finding were people selling used equipment for upwards of $300. I finally found this one for $100. I did some googling and the Little Tikes 8 in 1 had good reviews and an original price tag of $399. Sounded like a pretty good deal. When I went to pick it up it had a little bit of sun fading, but was in good condition. I offered the lady $80 and we had a deal. I set it up today and Tarynn loved it. Now I just need to find her a swing and a pool for the summer.

Are you effin kidding me?!?!?!?

I didn't feel well yesterday morning and needed to sleep just a little bit longer. I did the unthinkable. I put some cheerios in a cup, grabbed Tarynn, layed on the couch and wait for it.....put on Yo Gabba Gabba for the first time. I dozed off and woke up to her whining and shaking the remote. She had sat queitly threw an entire episode, it was over and she wanted more. I was so thankful for the sleep I started another one. I had DVRd some in case of emergency.

Fast forward to 9:17 in the evening. She woke up and I brought her into the living room with me, sat her on my lap, gave her some snuggles, hoping she would go back to sleep. She kept whining and pointing and I kept asking what she wanted. I finally figured out she was pointing at the TV. She wanted Yo Gabba Gabba. She has now taken over the TV happy as a clam fast forwarding past the parts she doesn't like. I don't know how she figured out to use the remote so quickly.

So ya thanks Yo Gabba Gabba you have created a monster.

Lady bug bow for lovely Miss Lucy

My wonderful friend Jen always opens her home to me when I'm in town and need somewhere to stay. She loves loves loves lady bugs. I wanted to make something special for her and wanted to include the little red bug she loved so much. We were laying in bed one day and her other love Lucy jumped into bed with us. Lucy is her black little fluffy pomeranian/poodle mix. It dawned on me what could be more perfect than a lady bug bow for Lucy?

I can't wait to post a pic of Miss Lucy wearing her bow.

And for good measure my two favorite lady bugs ♥

At least one of us isn't sick

Tarynn, Daisy, and I are all sick. Chop on the other hand had a blast riding and playing in a baseball tournament this weekend.

Poor Baby T

Tarynn went to visit her dad this past weekend and came home with a burst eardrum :( I guess the pressure caused by fluid from an ear infection built up and caused the drum to burst. The doctor tried to assure me that while it is painful, it gave her relief by relieving the pressure. She is on antiobiotics and can't bathe for two weeks. I'm going to have one stinky girl.
